- “If the leaves are changing, I feel poetry in the air.” - Laura Jaworski.
Anyone else get excited when it’s time for the new season?
I love when autumn is coming. The way the leaves begin to change into a beautiful orange red colour and the way they slowly fall down. Waking up to a crisp morning and embracing the silence is so satisfying.
I find it funny that I can view the changing of seasons in such a romantic way. However, the changes in my own life I fail to see the beauty of sometimes. I fail to see that with change comes growth, reverence and beauty.
Whenever I’ve faced changes in my own life, I have cried, felt broken and hated the the direction in which my life was headed. I didn’t know where I was going.
Wouldn’t it be nice to see some beautiful physical changes before we enter a new season?
But the changes we face are inner. They are deeper than the tangible. We receive growth after a lesson. And that it kind of freaking beautiful.
I think it’s healthy to romanticise changes in your own life too, so that when things get tough, you can see the brokenness and the beauty of it.
Today, I remind you that whatever change you’re going through, everything will be okay. You will make it out and see the growth in yourself. You've come so far already. Take a look back at the path you have taken, how much you’ve walked and how much you’ve matured. Of course this is a reminder for myself too.
This autumn, let’s romanticise the changes and see the world through rose coloured lenses.
Love,
Imaan xx
