“Every one of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.” — Princess Diana
As our month on selfcare comes to an end this final Sunday post is all about doing it yourself. There have been lots of tips and tricks and advice on self care this month and this post is not going to be any different. A cosy night in can be simple but can also be sophisticated and calming.
Doing it yourself gives the more personal touch and being in a cost of living crisis is also more cost effective. So below are a few different ways to create a DIY Selfcare night in.
Movie night: Now this is a great one. Pop on your favourite film, get in some cosy pyjamas, or some sexy ones that's up to you. Grab yourself some wine or whatever you prefer to drink. My favourite happens to be the Barefoot: white-zinfandel and it isn't massively expensive. If I am going to watch any film as a selfcare cosy night film it will definitely be a film like 'Miss Congeniality' or 'The Heat'. (I seem to have a thing for Sandra Bullock films...) or on the opposite side of that I really enjoy watching The Matrix.
Bubble Bath: Now this one I do very rarely, as much as I tried to fight it I am a shower girl at heart. But occasionally I grab a Lush bath bomb (which I grabbed in the boxing day sales) drop it in the bath and fill it up and watch the bubble
form. You could add candles and turn the lights off, maybe read a book or listen to some music but I often just scroll through my phones but which ever you decide it is something just for you.

Pamper Session: This one is something we could all implement daily, taking the time to do our skin care, properly wash our faces and take care of ourselves. Grab a face mask, pick your spa playlist and let the world wash away. This pampa session can be anything you want and need and cost as little or as much as you want, use things you have been putting off using and grab some comfy clothes.
So there you have it, the final Sunday post of June and self care month. Remember self care isn't selfish, its a necessity. There will still be posts about self care on our blog but moving into July there will be a new theme announced soon. So make sure you are following the blog and following us on all our social media sites found in the links page!
