"Love yourself first, and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world". - Lucille Ball
Where to start I hear you ask, well I am very glad you asked. First you need to determine what you think is self care and when the best time is to take time out for you.
There are different kinds of self care routines:
A selfcare moment: A short amount of time taken at any point in the day where you take it for yourself. I often make myself a luxury hot chocolate, get into some comfy pyjamas and pop on a film
A selfcare morning: This is often when I take a Sunday morning to myself. I have a long hot shower, out on a cute and/or comfortable outfit and just do something I want to do. That might be reading a book, grabbing a coffee or making myself a cooked breakfast.
A selfcare afternoon: Getting an afternoon to myself is a complete luxury, but when I do I kick off my shoes and turn on my xbox. I only really play a couple of the games but still something I can do for just me is perfection.
A selfcare Day: On the vary rare occasion I get the day to myself I honestly struggle with that to do with myself. My go to is to hop on the bus and head into town and do a little retail therapy (which gets very expensive). But now my financial situation is changing I will need to find something else to do.
Creating a routine is all about working with the time you have and the means you have too. If that is a pop to the shops or a film just for you. I hope this post has helped give you some ideas on how to create a selfcare routine.
Kisses
