Sweater Weather Essentials

Now that it’s starting to get cold. It’s officially time to bring out the high necks and scarves.

I’m a summer girly so I love being able to leave the house without a jacket. However, don’t you think there is something so aesthetically pleasing about a coat and a scarf paired together, with matching boots. 

I’m sorry if you’re not into fashion. But as someone that grew up on Barbie, Bratz and MyScene. I have a passion for fashion. This passion has never left and will never leave.

Here are some cold weather essentials:

• Sweaters: there are so many different styles of sweaters you could own. From Cardigans to High necks. All of these would be help keep you warm but looking and even feeling stylish. It’s a bit like the Gilmore Girls aesthetic. For a minimal wardrobe you can make do with about 5 different styles of sweaters.

• Scarves: 4 scarves is all you need. 1 black, 1 grey, 1 white and 1 brown. These are colours that complement many other colours. So you can do a lot of mix and matches with colour contrasts. It will allow you to experiment with styles and colours.

• 2 pairs of leggings: Leggings are great for wearing under trousers or jeans. They really help in keeping your legs warm. I wasn’t one for wearing leggings under my trousers, but when I tried it my life was kind of changed. I was now warmer in winter. 

• Fleeced tights: similar to leggings but instead tights are better for wearing under dresses. Now there are so many dresses and skirts that look good in colder seasons; like check patterned. But we still want to keep warm. Fleeced tights truly elevate the outfit. 

• Gloves: Yes, you'll need some warmer gloves in winter but in autumn you get totally get away with some leather gloves. It's a plus because they keep you somewhat warm but also look fashionable. They can make an outfit feel like high fashion.

There's probably some more things that are needed to make sweater weather essentials. However, I hope that you can have fun experimenting with fashion in autumn with these specific items.
