Valentines Day

"I love you"- everyone around the world

So Valentine's day is just around the corner and it's typically a day I don't really celebrate or even involve myself with, but this year I am taking myself out and showing myself some love. I am sure you have seen hearts, teddies and chocolates everywhere, you can't get away from them. Valentines day stereotypically puts pressure on men to spoil their other halves, or for women to put on something sexy and well... you know. But we often forget to show ourselves some love and affection.

Being kind to yourself should happen every day of the year but this year I challenge you to take care of yourself, go somewhere relaxing or out for a fancy dinner, dress up and spoil yourself. The options are endless to treat yourself.

Here are a few ways to treat yourself:

1: Movie Duvet day! Now this one is quite simple and doesn't have to be done alone. Grab your favourite film, DVD or streaming, bring the duvet down from your bed, grab as many blankets and snacks and you want and just chill. You could watch a series, a trilogy, or a new film you have been dying to watch, (mine's Batman or the new Black Panther film).

2: Sexy Self date night! You heard be correct. Take yourself out, put on something that makes you feel amazing and go and eat some amazing food. Alternately, you can do this from the comfort of your sofa in your jammies.

3: A bubble bath! Now this is a simple one for everyone, grab your favourite bubbles and maybe something to drink and just relax in the bath, let the worries of the day drain down the plug and just indulge in being you.

4: Buy yourself some flowers, now my favourites are tulips, what are yours? This one is pretty self explanatory and I'm sure you don't need me to tell you what it means.

5: Love yourself! What ever you do this valentine day make sure you send yourself some love! You will spend the rest of your life with yourself, so be kind.

I plan to have a relaxing day in and treating myself to some flowers and maybe some Nando's!

It doesn't matter if you're single, in a relationship or situationship, married, divorced, whatever you want to call it. Treating yourself is good for you, spending times with loved one is good for you, spending time with friends is good for you.

Happy Valentines Day My Loves

Kisses
