Self Empowerment: What actually is it?

“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
— Eleanor Roosevelt

Self-empowerment is the process of taking control of your life and making decisions that positively impact your well-being. It involves building self-confidence, setting goals, and taking action to achieve them. One way to start on the path of self-empowerment is to identify your strengths and weaknesses.

It's also important to surround yourself with positive influences and let go of negative ones. By taking ownership of your life, you can create a better future for yourself and those around you.

Remember, self-empowerment is a journey, not a destination, and it requires ongoing effort and commitment.

So here are six tips to set you on your way:
  1. Set goals: Identify what you want to achieve and create a plan of action to reach those goals. (This will give you direction and purpose)
  2. Build confidence: Believe in yourself and your abilities. Practice self-affirmations and positive self-talk to boost your confidence.
  3. Learn new skills: Continuously learn and develop new skills to enhance your knowledge and abilities. This will increase your value and potential.
  4. Take risks: Don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. This will help you grow and learn from new experiences.
  5. Surround yourself with positive influences: Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. This will give you a positive outlook and motivation.
  6. Practice self-care: Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental health. This will give you the energy and resilience to tackle challenges and achieve your goals.
Building confidence in oneself can be a challenging process, but it is possible with consistent effort. One way to start building confidence is to focus on your strengths and accomplishments, rather than your weaknesses or failures.
It's also important to practice self-care and self-compassion, treating yourself with kindness and understanding. Finally, surrounding yourself with positive and supportive people can also help build confidence.

Remember it is all a journey, nothing magical will happen over night, you need to built a good foundation first.
